Our Curriculum
Our ambition for the children of Great Finborough Church Primary School is to for them to become enthusiastic and passionate learners who are equipped with the skills, understanding, values and experiences to empower them to become life-long learners. Our curriculum aims to support them in achieving this objective.
We deliver a curriculum underpinned by the progressive development of key-skills, knowledge and experiences. The curriculum covers the content, skills and knowledge as described in the National Curriculum 2014 .
Enriching the curriculum with a wide range of experiences and wider opportunities is central to what we believe – learning must take place beyond the four walls of the classroom to ensure it is relevant, can be applied to real-life situations and is inspiring.
In 2014 we reviewed our curriculum in light of the changes to the National Curriculum; this evolved and was further reviewed in September 2018 and our latest version is due to be launched in September 2020.
As a Church school, our curriculum is designed to be ‘Rooted in Faith; Enriching Young Minds’
