Public Sector Equality Duty

Public Sector Equality Duty Objectives

Great Finborough Church Primary is aware of the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and our Equalities Policy sets out our commitment to meeting the requirements of the Act and the ways in which we aim to achieve this. Having carried out an evaluation exercise, we have set the specific objectives for 2020-24:

  • To reduce the attainment gaps between late joiners and those who have been in our school since Reception class
  • To continue to carefully monitor the needs of our SEN children and ensure appropriate assessment processes and resources are in place for them
  • To monitor the impact of our Behaviour Policy in relation to bullying incidents, particularly in relation to SEN children and make amendments to this if needed
  • To provide playtime facilities to meet the emotional needs of SEN children
  • To increase the participation of girls in sporting activities
  • To implement a new RSHE curriculum that reinforces our current teaching about diversity and equality
