Our Approach to Attendance

At Great Finborough Church Primary School, we believe that good attendance is essential to every child’s success, progress and development. We are committed to creating a positive culture of attendance, where every pupil is encouraged and supported to attend school regularly and arrive on time.

We recognise that every school day provides valuable opportunities for children to learn, develop friendships and take part in the wider experiences that school life offers. Through our attendance procedures, we actively monitor pupil attendance, identify any patterns or concerns at an early stage and work closely with parents and carers to address any barriers that may prevent regular attendance.

Our approach is built around promoting, supporting and improving attendance, ensuring that families understand their responsibilities and that appropriate support is provided wherever needed. By working together with parents, carers and external agencies when necessary, we aim to ensure that every child has the best possible opportunity to make the most of their education.

Every day in school matters, and every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Further Support & Useful Links

We understand that families may sometimes need additional advice, guidance or support to help ensure children are happy, healthy and able to thrive both in and out of school. Below, you will find a collection of useful links to external services, resources and support organisations, including our Early Help Offer and Mix Empower. These services provide further information, practical guidance and support for families on a range of topics and circumstances.

We encourage parents and carers to explore these resources and access support whenever it is needed.
