I have been a co-opted Governor since September 2019 and hold the role of Safeguarding Governor. To this role I bring experience in child safeguarding, conflict management, multi-agency working, risk assessment and prioritising the needs of vulnerable children. As the safeguarding link governor I work closely with the school to ensure policies are up to date with the latest guidance, and provide updates to governors at termly meetings. The school and council continues to provide me with the opportunity to attend a wide range of training courses which supports my understanding of what is expected of me in my role as governor, and what policies the school must adhere to, to run effectively. I am proud to be a governor of Great Finborough Primary School, and want to strive to ensure every child who attends is safe, happy, and enabled to develop their full potential. In order to do this, I feel it is essential to support the school in its journey to become outstanding. I encourage and welcome any questions regarding safeguarding, you may find my contact details on the Safeguarding page of the school website. |
