|I have a passion for energy and sustainability. I have worked across the Energy & Fuel sector for the last 10 years and am now working for Britain’s Greenest Energy Supplier. I grew up abroad in Singapore and relocated to the East-Midlands in 2002. I moved to Suffolk when I turned 18 and settled in Stowmarket, where I have really found my home.
My son, Harry, has attended Great Finborough since reception. My main reason for joining the Governing Body was to make sure that the school continues to thrive and grow over the years to come. I feel that Harry is very lucky to be part of a school with such a great culture and I want to make sure that all current and future pupils can benefit from it too.
My main job working for “Ecotricity” is to manage the third party relationships that we have and develop the strategies internally and externally to allow both parties to benefit. Alongside this, I am a Board Trustee at “The Premier Foundation”, a charity that provides vulnerable and disadvantaged children the opportunity to access physical and mental activities. My role there is similar to a governor, I am there to support, challenge and make sure the organisation is following the most effective path to reach their end goals.
I love this school. The culture and respect that is driven from the very top (Governors and Mr Dodd) all the way through the teachers and staff and ending up with the newest pupils in Green class is something I embrace. Every person who has any link or invested interest in the school wishes it the very best and respects the previous and current work done. I want to make sure that it continues in this path.
