Sutton Hoo

In the Spring term Silver and Purple classes studied the Anglo-Saxons. To support their studies they visited the Anglo-Saxon royal burial site at Sutton Hoo.

They enjoyed a look round the museum followed by exploring the burial mounds with a knowledgeable volunteer and then practicing excavation techniques to learn more about how archaeologists work, including working out whether finds were of similar age.
