| I live in Stowmarket with my partner and two children, one of whom who is currently at Great Finborough Primary School and the other is due to attend within the next couple of years. Applying to become a governor is a first. The reason? My daughter asked me to. I took the step to support her, then realised I relish the chance of working towards making a positive difference to the education of local children. I have a work background within mental health and currently work within Gas Emergency as a safe controls operating engineer. I hope to use my interests and experience working with the school and give something back. In my free time I am a helper with our local girl guides Rainbows, a committee member for the nursery, as well as owning my own business having a book shop and being able to run a book club for both children and adults, books are my passion. I am a strong believer in the value and importance of a well-balanced education. I welcome the opportunity to help the school in any capacity I can. |
