Archie Project

In Spring Term 2023 we strengthened our existing links with our local care home by working with them, Mid-Suffolk District Council and the charity Reminiscence Learning on the ‘Archie Project’. This is an exciting intergenerational dementia awareness project that links local primary schools, care homes, sheltered housing schemes, businesses, services and community members to ultimately dispel the fear and stigma often associated with dementia and to create more dementia friendly communities. We hope this will support our pupils’ understanding about dementia, show them how to engage and support those suffering with dementia, bringing positive and happy experiences to the residents of Finborough Court (they love to see our pupils), and enable us to play our part in building a more dementia friendly community.
